SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENTAL
Our commitment to Health & Safety is supported by a team of three professional Health & Safety Advisers who provide assistance at all levels throughout the company and continually monitor, review and report on performance to the Board of Directors. This commitment is reflected in a continual improvement in accident figures over recent years and a reportable accident incidence rate which is significantly lower than the industry average.
PARTNERSHIP AND TEAM WORK TO ACHIEVE PROJECT RESULTS
The principle of reducing overall building costs and removing confrontation between parties is a principle we subscribe to.
Experienced teams working well together and able to sort out problems as and when they arrive - evaluate their effect on programme and cost.
We have considerable experience of working very closely with Clients at early stages, ensuring end results suit requirements.
The degree of repeat business we enjoy stands as testament to our ability.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
We believe that
our work not only as a Contractor, but also as a Developer has
widened our experience through viewing projects from a client's
viewpoint in terms of function, maintenance and value for
money.
Our success in Development, Joint Ventures and General Contracting is partly due to our ability to develop a construction design to achieve either financial economy, deal with challenging site conditions, or improve contract programme.
We believe we can bring considerable expertise to the project
and will look forward to joining your team, should we be the
successful tenderer. As an integral part of that team, we will make
pro-active contributions in terms of buildability, material
selection and all other matters of design.
INFORMATION PROCUREMENT
We ensure that we are fully aware of and fully understand any shortfalls in the detailed design information when the contract is awarded and develop an information procurement programme, which will integrate information into the main construction programme.
Prior to and throughout the construction period, we monitor
carefully the flow of design information and report any shortfalls
early, so that, through discussion, we can maintain programme
momentum, ensure maximum production and avoid delays.
SELECTION OF SUB-CONTRACTORS
We operate a very select list of approved specialist
sub-contractors who have a proven record on quality, performance,
experience, design expertise and safety. The advantage of utilising
this select list is that the choice of sub-contractor can be made
quickly and confidently so that the development of the design is
commenced at the earliest possible opportunity. Local contractors
are employed whenever appropriate in order to utilise their
knowledge of the local conditions.
SELECTION OF MATERIALS SUPPLIERS
We operate a system for material procurement using a database which is constantly updated, doing away with the need for constant tendering. With the result that materials can be procured on time and of the required quality.
CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTORS
In line with our commitment to minimize the impact of our sites
on the local environments and communities, all projects are
registered with, and audited independently by, the Considerate
Constructors Scheme.
CUSTOMER CARE
We operate a comprehensive Customer Care response programme integrated into our Quality Assurance System. Through this system we ensure that the client's needs and expectations are fully understood.
