CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH FOR POCHIN CONTRACTORS

Pochin (Contractors) Ltd is becoming established as leading developer of healthcare after completing Nantwich Health Park, its second project for developer, Henry Davidson.

The £5 million Health Park brings together three existing GP practices in the area and will provide Primary Care Trust services to the community of Nantwich and the surrounding area. Facilities include consulting rooms, treatment rooms and the capacity for minor operations, with the additional benefits of dental suites, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and podiatry.

The three-storey, 3,400 sq m (36,597 sq ft) facility comprises a structured steel frame and floors will be set out in a step formation with three, two and single storey areas. The build includes car parking, external works and landscaping and part of the single storey element will incorporate a stand-alone Co-op pharmacy.

The construction incorporates a number of key measures to address its environmental impact, including the means to generate electricity and rainwater harvesting to provide water for the toilet flushing systems.

On the project, Antony Pochin, business strategy director comments: "With Nantwich and Winsford now completed, we are establishing ourselves as a reputable contractor within the healthcare industry, with the ability to deliver on time and to budget."

Project manager for Henry Davidson Developments, Andy Wendler, says: "We needed a contractor with a high level of expertise, who was able to meet these design challenges. And deliver within the required timeframe. Having already seen the high standard of work at Winsford, when the time came to appoint a contractor, Pochin was the natural choice and we haven't been disappointed."
