POCHIN TO ASSIST WITH THE ANGLESEY COASTAL ENVIRONMENT PROJECT
Pochin Special Projects, part of Cheshire-based Pochin's PLC, has been awarded a £30,000 contract to carry out the refurbishment of four toilet blocks along the Anglesey coastline, on behalf of The Isle of Anglesey County Council (IACC).
The works are being delivered as part of £5.6m Development of Anglesey's Coastal Environment Project, which aims to develop on-shore and off-shore facilities to maximise economic benefits from the coastline of Anglesey.
Pochin Special Projects will assist with minor building work and improvements to four coastal toilet blocks at sites including; Porth Dafarch, Traeth Bychan, Llanddona and Borth Wen. The team has started on site and the project is scheduled for completion by end of March 2011.
On the new contract, Antony Pochin, operations director of Pochin Special Projects, commented: "The works will improve the amenities available to both the local community and visitors. It is fantastic to be involved in a project that will have such a positive effect on the local community and help to boost the economy of the island."
